Product Overview
Clone FDF-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (gene PDGFRB) phosphorylated at Tyr740 in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 124.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 190 kDa.
PDGFRβ is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by PDGF-BB, PDGF-AB and PDGF-DD. Its signaling recruits pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells to growing blood vessels and drives mesenchymal cell proliferation and migration, so it is a common pericyte marker and is studied in vascular development, fibrosis and cancer.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicle and lysosome lumen. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
