Product Overview
Clone 19P66 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes PRKCA-binding protein (gene PICK1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 46.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
PICK1 is a PDZ- and BAR-domain adapter protein that binds and organizes membrane proteins carrying PDZ-binding motifs, including PKCα and AMPA receptor GluA2 subunits. By controlling AMPA receptor trafficking and internalization at synapses, it influences synaptic plasticity, and it is also studied in sperm development and membrane trafficking.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PICK1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places PRKCA-binding protein in the cytoplasm, membrane, postsynaptic density and synapse. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
