Product Overview
Clone 24P65 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes serine/threonine-protein kinase pim-2 (gene PIM2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 34.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
PIM2 is a constitutively active serine/threonine kinase of the PIM family that supports cell survival and growth. It phosphorylates BAD and regulators of cap-dependent translation and cooperates with MYC, and it is studied especially in multiple myeloma and other hematologic cancers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEL cells, human K562 cells, human THP-1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in hematopoietic tissues, in leukemic and lymphoma cell lines, testis, small intestine, colon and colorectal adenocarcinoma cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
