Product Overview
Clone 19G65 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes golgi-associated PDZ and coiled-coil motif-containing protein (gene GOPC) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 50.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 51 kDa.
GOPC (also called PIST or CAL) is a Golgi-associated protein with coiled-coil regions and a PDZ domain. It binds and controls the trafficking and degradation of membrane proteins such as the CFTR chloride channel and the β1-adrenergic receptor, so it is studied in protein sorting.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A375 cells, human HepG2 cells, human THP-1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human pancreas cancer tissue, human stomach cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PIST.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places golgi-associated PDZ and coiled-coil motif-containing protein in the cytoplasm, Golgi apparatus membrane, synapse and postsynaptic density. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
