Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets phosphatidylinositol transfer protein beta isoform (gene PITPNB) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 31.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
PITPNB (PITPβ) is a soluble lipid transfer protein that moves phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine between membranes. Its transfer activity is needed for COPI-dependent Golgi-to-ER retrograde traffic and helps supply phosphatidylinositol for phosphoinositide signaling.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon adenocarcinoma tissue, human testicular seminoma tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human esophageal squamous cells carcinoma tissue.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PITPNB fragment (Gln148–Arg170), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places phosphatidylinositol transfer protein beta isoform in the cytoplasm, Golgi apparatus membrane and endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed in various tissues including brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
