Product Overview
Clone 18P99 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein kinase C theta type (gene PRKCQ) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 81.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 82 kDa.
PKCθ (PRKCQ) is a novel protein kinase C isoform that concentrates at the immunological synapse of activated T cells. Downstream of TCR and CD28 it phosphorylates CARD11 to drive NF-κB activation and also promotes AP-1 and NFAT signaling and IL-2 production, making it a focus of T-cell activation and immunomodulation research.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
