Product Overview
Clone AFOO-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes plexin-A1 (gene PLXNA1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 211.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 240 kDa.
Plexin-A1 is a transmembrane receptor for class 3 and class 6 semaphorins; for class 3 semaphorins it partners with neuropilins. Semaphorin binding activates its intracellular GTPase-activating domain to remodel the cytoskeleton, guiding axon growth and cell migration, and it also acts in immune and cardiac development.
