Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects phosphomevalonate kinase (gene PMVK) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Phosphomevalonate kinase (PMVK) is a cytosolic enzyme of the mevalonate pathway. It uses ATP to convert mevalonate 5-phosphate into mevalonate 5-diphosphate, a step toward isopentenyl diphosphate, the building block for cholesterol and other isoprenoids. It is studied in sterol and isoprenoid metabolism.
