Product Overview
Clone 29P36 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes bifunctional polynucleotide phosphatase/kinase (gene PNKP) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 57.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 57 kDa.
Polynucleotide kinase 3′-phosphatase (PNKP) is a DNA repair enzyme with two activities: it removes 3′-phosphate groups and adds phosphate to 5′-hydroxyl ends. By cleaning up broken DNA ends so polymerases and ligases can act, it supports base excision repair, single-strand break repair and non-homologous end joining.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PNK / PNKP.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places bifunctional polynucleotide phosphatase/kinase in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in many tissues with highest expression in spleen and testis, and lowest expression in small intestine. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
