Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes serum paraoxonase/arylesterase 1 (gene Pon1) in mouse samples and is validated for ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 39.6 kDa.
Paraoxonase 1 (PON1) is a calcium-dependent esterase made in the liver and carried in blood on HDL particles. It hydrolyzes lactones and toxic organophosphate metabolites such as paraoxon, and it helps protect LDL from oxidation. PON1 is widely studied in lipid metabolism, oxidative stress, cardiovascular research and pesticide sensitivity.
