Product Overview
Clone 24P69 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes myeloblastin (gene PRTN3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 27.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
Proteinase 3 (PRTN3, myeloblastin) is a neutrophil serine protease stored in azurophil granules alongside neutrophil elastase. It degrades extracellular matrix proteins and processes signaling molecules, and it is the main target of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (c-ANCA) in granulomatosis with polyangiitis, making it important in vasculitis research.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PR3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes myeloblastin as secreted and also located in the cytoplasmic granule and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in polymorphonuclear leukocytes (at protein level).
