Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes histone-lysine N-methyltransferase PRDM7 in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 55.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 46 kDa.
PRDM7 is a PR-domain histone methyltransferase that converts dimethylated lysine 4 on histone H3 into the trimethylated H3K4me3 mark. Because H3K4me3 is associated with active promoters, PRDM7 is studied as a possible contributor to epigenetic control of gene expression and chromatin state.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PRDM7 fragment (Gln415–Arg485), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places histone-lysine N-methyltransferase PRDM7 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
