Product Overview
Clone IIG-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes peroxiredoxin-1 (gene PRDX1) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 22.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 24 kDa.
Peroxiredoxin 1 (PRDX1) is an abundant thiol-based peroxidase that reduces hydrogen peroxide and organic hydroperoxides using conserved cysteine residues. Beyond protecting cells from oxidative stress, it helps tune hydrogen peroxide levels that act as signals downstream of growth factors and TNF-α, and it is widely studied in redox biology and cancer research.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
