Product Overview
Clone 20P51 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cAMP-dependent protein kinase type I-alpha regulatory subunit (gene PRKAR1A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 43.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
PKA RIα (PRKAR1A) is the main type I regulatory subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A. It holds the catalytic subunits inactive until cAMP binds and releases them, and it is a well-known tumor suppressor gene whose loss underlies Carney complex, so it is widely studied in cAMP signaling and endocrine research.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places cAMP-dependent protein kinase type I-alpha regulatory subunit in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Four types of regulatory chains are found: I-alpha, I-beta, II-alpha, and II-beta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
