Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects glucosidase 2 subunit beta (gene PRKCSH) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 59.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
Glucosidase II β subunit (PRKCSH, also called hepatocystin) is the regulatory partner of the ER enzyme glucosidase II, which trims glucose residues from newly made N-linked glycans. This trimming is part of the calnexin/calreticulin quality-control cycle, and PRKCSH mutations cause autosomal dominant polycystic liver disease.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): SiHa cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PRKCSH fragment (Glu16–Leu506), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places glucosidase 2 subunit beta in the endoplasmic reticulum. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
