Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes protein arginine N-methyltransferase 3 (gene PRMT3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 59.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60–70 kDa.
PRMT3 is a type I protein arginine methyltransferase located mainly in the cytoplasm. Its best-characterized substrate is the ribosomal protein RPS2 (uS5), and it contributes to asymmetric dimethylation of histone H4 arginine 3, so it is studied in ribosome biology and gene regulation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human K562 cells, human Daudi cells, human HL-60 cells, human MOLT-4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): Caco-2 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PRMT3 fragment (Arg12–Ser514), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein arginine N-methyltransferase 3 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
