Product Overview
Clone 27S28 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes solute carrier family 45 member 3 (gene SLC45A3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 59.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 52 kDa.
SLC45A3 (also called prostein) is a putative sugar transporter related to plant sucrose transporters, and it may also carry glucose and fructose. It is strongly expressed in prostate epithelium, where it is used as a prostate marker, and it is a known fusion partner of ETS genes in prostate cancer.
