Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes pre-mRNA-processing factor 6 (gene PRPF6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 106.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 107 kDa.
PRPF6 is a large HAT-repeat protein of the U5 snRNP that bridges the U4/U6 and U5 particles within the tri-snRNP. It is required for spliceosome assembly, has also been reported to enhance androgen and glucocorticoid receptor-driven transcription, and has been linked to retinitis pigmentosa.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human K562 cells, human 293T cells, rat C6 cells, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.

Recombinant human PRPF6 fragment (Lys61–Lys585), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places pre-mRNA-processing factor 6 in the nucleus and nucleus speckle. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
