Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes protein PRRC2C in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 316.9 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 290 kDa, 94 kDa.
PRRC2C is a large proline-rich coiled-coil protein that is needed for efficient formation of stress granules, the cytoplasmic RNA-protein assemblies that form when translation is halted by stress. It is studied in translation control and RNA granule biology, though its detailed mechanism remains under investigation.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells, human K562 cells, human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U251 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PRRC2C fragment (His2357–Asp2808), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein PRRC2C in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Overexpressed in bladder cancer. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
