Product Overview
Clone 25P92 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes trypsin-2 (gene PRSS2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 26.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30 kDa.
Trypsin-2 (PRSS2, anionic trypsinogen) is a pancreatic serine protease secreted as an inactive zymogen and activated in the small intestine to digest dietary proteins. It is also expressed in Paneth cells, where it may process defensins, and its levels are studied in pancreatitis research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human pancreas.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PRSS2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes trypsin-2 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in Paneth cells, at the base of small intestinal crypts. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
