Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets phosphoribosyltransferase domain-containing protein 1 (gene PRTFDC1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 25.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
PRTFDC1 is a close paralog of hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HPRT). It binds GMP, IMP and PRPP but has only trace phosphoribosyltransferase activity in vitro, so it is not thought to contribute meaningfully to purine salvage, and its biological role remains unclear.
