Product Overview
Clone GDC-11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes prostate-specific antigen (gene KLK3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 28.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 34 kDa.
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA, KLK3) is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease secreted by prostate epithelial cells into seminal fluid. It cleaves the semenogelins of the seminal clot, allowing semen to liquefy and sperm to move. PSA levels in blood are widely used in prostate cancer screening and monitoring, making it one of the best-known kallikreins.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:1000–1:5000 |
|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human prostate carcinoma tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PSA/KLK3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes prostate-specific antigen as a secreted protein. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
