Product Overview
Clone 22P51 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes proteasome subunit alpha type-2 (gene PSMA2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 25.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
PSMA2 (α2) is a structural α subunit of the 20S core proteasome. Together with the other α subunits it forms the outer rings that gate the proteolytic chamber and bind regulatory complexes, supporting ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation and protein quality control.
