Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects 26S proteasome regulatory subunit 7 (gene PSMC2) in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 48.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 49 kDa.
PSMC2 (Rpt1) is an AAA+ ATPase subunit of the 19S regulatory particle of the 26S proteasome. Working with the other five Rpt subunits, it uses ATP to unfold ubiquitin-tagged proteins and feed them into the 20S core, supporting protein quality control and turnover of regulatory proteins.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MOLT-4 cells, human T-47D cells, monkey COS-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.

Recombinant human PSMC2 fragment (Lys34–Asn433), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places 26S proteasome regulatory subunit 7 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
