Product Overview
Clone 18P51 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes proteasome activator complex subunit 1 (gene PSME1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 28.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 29 kDa.
PA28α (PSME1) is an interferon-γ-inducible subunit of the PA28αβ (11S) proteasome activator. The heptameric ring binds the ends of the 20S core, opens its gate and changes the pattern of peptides produced, enhancing the supply of epitopes for MHC class I antigen presentation.
