Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase PTEN in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
PTEN is a lipid and protein phosphatase that removes the 3-phosphate from PIP3, directly opposing PI3K and dampening AKT signaling. By restraining this pathway it limits cell growth, survival and proliferation, and it is one of the most frequently inactivated tumor suppressors in human cancer.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase PTEN in the cytoplasm, nucleus, cell projection and postsynaptic density. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at a relatively high level in all adult tissues, including heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, muscle, kidney and pancreas.
