Product Overview
Clone 23P75 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes pumilio homolog 2 (gene PUM2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 114.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 114 kDa.
Pumilio homolog 2 (PUM2) is a PUF-family RNA-binding protein closely related to PUM1 that binds the Pumilio response element in 3′ UTRs. It represses translation or promotes decay of its target mRNAs and is studied in neuronal biology, germ cells and stress granule formation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HEL cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human REH cells, rat RH35 cells, mouse HEPA1–6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places pumilio homolog 2 in the cytoplasm and cytoplasmic granule. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in male germ cells of adult testis (at protein level).
