Product Overview
Clone 30P43 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes periodic tryptophan protein 1 homolog (gene PWP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 55.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
PWP1 is a WD-repeat chromatin-associated protein involved in ribosome biogenesis. It supports RNA polymerase I transcription of rRNA genes and helps maintain the epigenetic state of rDNA, linking it to cell growth.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PWP1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places periodic tryptophan protein 1 homolog in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): High levels seen in the placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas while lower levels were seen in the heart, brain and lung. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
