Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets PX domain-containing protein kinase-like protein (gene PXK) in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 65.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 65 kDa.
PXK is a PX domain protein with a kinase-like domain that may lack catalytic activity. It binds Na+/K+-ATPase subunits and may influence ion pump activity and electrical excitability; genetic studies have also linked the PXK region to systemic lupus erythematosus.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, monkey COS-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.

Recombinant human PXK fragment (Glu5–Lys576), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places PX domain-containing protein kinase-like protein in the cytoplasm and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed in all tissues examined except in heart. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
