Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ras-related protein Rab-11B (gene RAB11B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for flow cytometry, IHC, ICC/IF and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 24.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 24 kDa.
Rab11B (RAB11B) is a Rab GTPase closely related to Rab11A that controls recycling of membrane proteins, particularly to the apical surface of epithelial cells. Its cargo includes CFTR and epithelial ion channels, and it also contributes to regulated secretion and melanosome transfer.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human RAB11B. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 97.4% and 100%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ras-related protein Rab-11B in the recycling endosome membrane and cytoplasmic vesicle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
