Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ras-related protein Rab-13 (gene RAB13) in human samples and is validated for flow cytometry, ICC/IF and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 22.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.
Rab13 (RAB13) is a Rab GTPase that regulates recycling of membrane proteins to the cell surface. It delivers the tight junction protein occludin and helps assemble epithelial tight junctions, and through effectors such as MICAL-L2 it also influences actin organization and cell migration.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human Caco-2 cells, human MCF-7 cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MCF-7 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U87 cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ras-related protein Rab-13 in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicle membrane and cell junction. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in several types of epithelia, including intestine, kidney, liver and in endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
