Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ras-related protein Rab-1A (gene RAB1A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 22.7 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 23,22 kDa.
Rab1A (RAB1A) is a Rab GTPase that controls vesicle transport from the ER to the Golgi and maintains Golgi structure. It also takes part in autophagosome formation and in defense against intracellular pathogens, and it is widely used in studies of early secretory pathway trafficking.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RAB1A fragment (Arg74–Gln199), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ras-related protein Rab-1A in the Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, early endosome and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
