Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ras-related protein Rab-43 (gene RAB43) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 23.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.
Rab43 (RAB43) is a Rab GTPase associated with the Golgi. It supports retrograde transport from endosomes to the Golgi, including the route used by Shiga toxin, and helps move newly made G protein-coupled receptors from the ER to the Golgi.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MCF-7 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.

Recombinant human RAB43 fragment (Gln14–Glu206), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ras-related protein Rab-43 in the Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum membrane and cytoplasmic vesicle. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed in brain, testis, lung, heart, ovary, colon, kidney, uterus and spleen but not in liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
