Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ras-related protein Rab-7a (gene RAB7A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 23.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.
Rab7 (RAB7A) is the main Rab GTPase of late endosomes and lysosomes. Through effectors such as RILP and the HOPS complex it drives endosome maturation, microtubule-based positioning and fusion with lysosomes, and it is also needed for autophagosome–lysosome fusion, making it a standard late endosome marker.

Immunogen
Recombinant human RAB7/RAB7A fragment (Lys21–Glu177), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ras-related protein Rab-7a in the cytoplasmic vesicle, late endosome membrane and lysosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
