Product Overview
Clone CBH-18 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes double-strand-break repair protein rad21 homolog in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 71.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 128 kDa.
RAD21 (SCC1) is the kleisin subunit of cohesin, the ring-shaped complex that holds sister chromatids together from S phase until anaphase. Its cleavage by separase triggers chromatid separation, and cohesin containing RAD21 also shapes chromatin loops that regulate gene expression and supports DNA repair.
