Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects DNA repair protein RAD51 homolog 4 (gene RAD51D) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30–40 kDa.
RAD51D is a RAD51 paralog in the BCDX2 complex that acts downstream of BRCA2 to support RAD51 recruitment in homologous recombination. It also helps protect telomeres, and germline RAD51D mutations increase ovarian cancer risk.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HeLa cells, human Jurkat cells, human A2780 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human lung cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RAD51D fragment (His23–Thr328), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 83.7%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places DNA repair protein RAD51 homolog 4 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in colon, prostate, spleen, testis, ovary, thymus and small intestine. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
