Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets E3 SUMO-protein ligase RanBP2 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 358.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 270 kDa.
RanBP2 (Nup358) is a large nucleoporin that forms filaments on the cytoplasmic face of the nuclear pore complex. It provides docking sites for Ran and transport receptors and acts as a SUMO E3 ligase, notably for RanGAP1, linking nuclear transport with SUMO modification.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human ranBP2. It differs from the mouse sequence at nine residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places E3 SUMO-protein ligase RanBP2 in the nucleus, nuclear membrane and nucleus envelope. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
