Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ras-related protein Rap-1A (gene RAP1A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 21.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 21 kDa.
Rap1A (RAP1A) is a Ras-related small GTPase activated by exchange factors such as EPACs and C3G. It is a major regulator of integrin activation and cell adhesion, cell–cell junction formation and endothelial barrier function, and it was first recognized for opposing some Ras-driven effects.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, MCF-7 cells, SW620 cells, rat heart tissue, rat lung tissue, rat stomach tissue, rat kidney tissuemouse heart tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse stomach tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human RAP1A. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
