Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects rap1 GTPase-GDP dissociation stimulator 1 (gene RAP1GDS1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 66.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
SmgGDS (RAP1GDS1) is an armadillo-repeat protein that binds small GTPases with a C-terminal polybasic region, such as Rap1, RhoA and Rac1. It acts as an exchange factor for some of them and as a chaperone that controls their prenylation and trafficking to membranes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MOLT-4 cells, human Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U2OS cells.
