Product Overview
Clone ADCH-21 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes BRCA1-A complex subunit RAP80 (gene UIMC1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 79.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
RAP80 (UIMC1) is a ubiquitin-binding subunit of the BRCA1-A complex. It recognizes Lys-63-linked ubiquitin chains on histones H2A and H2AX at DNA double-strand breaks and thereby recruits BRCA1 to damage sites. RAP80 is studied in the DNA damage response and in regulation of homologous recombination.
