Product Overview
Clone 17R63 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ras association domain-containing protein 1 (gene RASSF1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 39.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 39 kDa.
RASSF1 is a Ras-association domain protein and a well-known tumor suppressor whose RASSF1A isoform is often silenced by promoter methylation in cancers. It supports death receptor-triggered apoptosis by keeping the Hippo kinases MST1/MST2 active, and it restrains cell cycle progression at G1/S and in mitosis, so it is widely studied in cancer and cell death research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human RASSF1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform A and isoform C are ubiquitously expressed in all tissues tested, however isoform A is absent in many corresponding cancer cell lines. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
