Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ribonucleoprotein PTB-binding 1 (gene RAVER1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 63.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 72 kDa.
RAVER1 is a ribonucleoprotein that partners with the splicing repressor PTBP1 to control alternative splicing. It promotes exon skipping and helps choose between mutually exclusive exons, such as in tropomyosin (TPM1) pre-mRNA, so it is studied in RNA processing.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HeLa cells, human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RAVER1 fragment (Asp209–His567), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ribonucleoprotein PTB-binding 1 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
