Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects RNA-binding motif, single-stranded-interacting protein 3 (gene RBMS3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 47.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
RBMS3 is an RNA-binding protein of the RBMS family that binds poly(A) and poly(U) RNA sequences. It is thought to act in post-transcriptional control of gene expression and has been studied as a candidate tumor suppressor.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U2OS cells, human PC-3 cells, human U-87MG cells, human A549 cells, human HeLa cells, rat heart tissue, mouse testicular tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:100, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human oesophagus squama cancer tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places RNA-binding motif, single-stranded-interacting protein 3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in fetal brain, fetal lung, fetal liver, heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, muscle, kidney and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
