Product Overview
Clone 24R07 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes regulator of chromosome condensation (gene RCC1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 45.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
RCC1 is the chromatin-bound guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the small GTPase Ran. By loading Ran with GTP near chromosomes, it creates the RanGTP gradient that drives cargo release after nuclear import and supports mitotic spindle assembly, making it a key protein in nucleocytoplasmic transport and mitosis research.
