Product Overview

Clone AEHH-18 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes retinoic acid receptor beta (gene RARB) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 50.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.

Retinoic acid receptor beta (RARβ, RARB) is a nuclear receptor that forms heterodimers with RXR and controls genes carrying retinoic acid response elements. Because it binds corepressors only weakly, it mostly acts as a gene activator, and together with RARγ it supports skeletal growth and growth plate function. RARB is a common subject in retinoid signaling and development research.
