Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects reticulophagy regulator 1 (gene RETREG1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 54.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
RETREG1 (also called FAM134B) is an ER-anchored receptor for selective autophagy of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER-phagy). Its reticulon-like domain bends and fragments ER membranes, and its LIR motif binds LC3/GABARAP proteins to deliver these fragments to autophagosomes. RETREG1 mutations cause a hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy, and it is a key protein in ER turnover studies.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U-87MG cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U87 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RETREG1 fragment (Gln131–Asp446), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places reticulophagy regulator 1 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Overexpressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
