Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor RFX4 in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 83.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
RFX4 is an RFX family transcription factor expressed in the developing brain. It binds X-box motifs and is thought to regulate genes involved in early brain development and neural tube ciliogenesis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U-87MG cells, human U251 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RFX4 fragment (Gln124–His667), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 96.7%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places transcription factor RFX4 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 1: Expressed in brain and gliomas (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
