Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects regulator of G protein signaling 7 (gene RGS7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 57.7 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 65 kDa(h), 58 kDa(mr).
RGS7 is an R7-family regulator of G protein signaling that forms a complex with Gβ5 (GNB5). This complex speeds GTP hydrolysis by Gαo and related subunits, terminating G protein-coupled receptor signals in neurons, and RGS7 is studied in synaptic signaling, GABA-B receptor responses and the retina.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human RGS7 fragment (Met1–Asn483), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places regulator of G protein signaling 7 in the cytoplasm, cell membrane and membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
