Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets serine/threonine-protein kinase RIO1 (gene RIOK1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 65.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
RIOK1 is an atypical serine/threonine kinase of the RIO family that acts in the final steps of 40S ribosomal subunit maturation in the cytoplasm. It is needed for processing of 18S-E pre-rRNA into mature 18S rRNA and for release of assembly factors such as NOB1 and PNO1, and it is studied in ribosome biogenesis and cancer cell growth.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human HEK293 cells, human HepG2 cells, human PC-3 cells, rat testicular tissue, mouse testicular tissue, mouse SP2/0 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.

Recombinant human RIOK1/RIO1 fragment (Met1–Lys222), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase RIO1 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
