Product Overview
Clone 29R10 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF14 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 53.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
RNF14 is an RBR-type E3 ubiquitin ligase that works in a translation quality-control pathway with RNF25. When ribosomes stall and collide, RNF14 is recruited through GCN1 and ubiquitinates translation factors such as eEF1A and eRF1 trapped on the ribosome, leading to their removal and degradation; it was also described earlier as an androgen receptor coactivator.
